Meet Your Therapist

Healing happens when we can show up as our truest selves

I'm a compassionate LGBTQIA+-affirming trauma therapist who works with people who carry a lot. I’m especially passionate about empowering women to reclaim their voice, trust their own wisdom, and take up space unapologetically. Many of the people I support identify as Highly Sensitive People and have spent years being told they feel too much. I understand what it’s like to navigate a world that can often feel overwhelming. I value authentic connection because I believe that’s where real healing begins—not in performing wellness, but in being truly seen.

My approach draws from traditional talk therapy and body-based, holistic forms of healing such as Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, ketamine-assisted therapy, expressive arts, and more. My job isn’t to “fix you”—it’s to help you reconnect with the inner wisdom and strength you already carry while building new skills for the places that feel stuck. You’ll never be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Together, we can explore which approaches fit your goals, comfort, and circumstances.

I offer in-person individual therapy at my Mesa office and online therapy throughout Arizona. The Mesa office is convenient for clients coming from Scottsdale, Phoenix, and communities across the East Valley.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy connecting with nature or relaxing with a good book alongside my husband and our fluffy cat, Jinx.

Should you feel called to reach out, I would be honored to hear your story and be a part of your healing journey.

These are just words on a page. Your experience is more than a label. If something brought you here, that's enough.

Approaches

An intentionally eclectic approach

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. My approach blends traditional, somatic, and holistic practices to meet you exactly where you are, because healing looks different for everyone.

Processing the Hard Stuff

For working through trauma, overwhelming experiences, and the patterns they leave behind. These modalities help safely reprocess what happened so it stops running the show.

Getting Out of Your Head

Sometimes words aren't enough. These creative approaches help you access feelings and insights that talk therapy alone can't always reach.

Building New Skills

For developing the practical tools that help you navigate daily life with more ease: setting boundaries, managing stress, and learning to treat yourself with compassion.

You don't need to know which approach is right for you. That's what I'm here for.

What Makes This Different

Therapy that treats your whole self, not just your thoughts

Most people spend years in talk therapy cycling through the same loops without ever feeling truly different. My approach brings together multiple modalities (processing, creative, and skill-building) so we can work with what's actually going on, not just what's easy to put into words.

Whole-Person Care

Taking into account not just you but the systems you work and live in, interventions are woven together based on what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

You Lead, I Walk With You

You know your life better than anyone. I'm here to help you build on the strengths you already carry and reconnect with what feels true. Not to tell you who to be.

A Real Connection

Therapy works when you feel genuinely seen by the person sitting across from you. Not like a diagnosis on a clipboard. That relationship is the foundation of everything we do together.

Common Questions

Things people often ask

Yes, I currently take BCBS, Cigna, and Aetna, but will be moving to a private pay model by the end of the year. My rate is $150 for 60-minute sessions, for both in-person and telehealth. I believe financial concerns shouldn't prevent anyone from getting support, so I offer a sliding scale based on your income and circumstances — please reach out if you have questions or are interested in this option.

Confidentiality is one of the biggest reasons. Insurance companies require a disorder diagnosis in order to bill, and are requesting clients' mental health records more frequently for various reasons. By no longer working with insurance companies, I can increase the confidentiality of your sessions.

This shift will also allow me to see you at the frequency and level that you personally need — not based on what a company dictates your needs are.

The consultation is a brief, no-pressure phone call, usually about 15 minutes. It's a chance for us to connect, for you to ask any questions, and for both of us to see if we feel like a good fit. Think of it as a conversation, not an interview.

Yes! I offer both in-person sessions in Mesa and virtual sessions so you can choose whatever feels most comfortable and convenient for you. Many clients find a mix of both works well. Because I’m licensed in Arizona, clients must be physically located within the state at the time of a virtual session.

I offer in-person sessions at Hopeful Healing in Mesa, Arizona (1930 S Alma School Rd). The office is convenient to Scottsdale, Tempe, and other East Valley communities. Virtual sessions are available throughout Arizona.

I get it, life happens! If you need to cancel, please try to cancel at least 48 hours in advance via email or text message. If you need to cancel in a shorter time than that, there is a $50 cancellation fee.

Although I have worked with men, women, and non-binary people, those who present as women to the world face specific challenges related to trauma, being believed, and using their voice. “In fact, research published in 2017 in the European Journal of Psychotraumatology suggests women experience PTSD at two to three times the rate that men do. The lifetime prevalence of PTSD for women is 10% to 12%, compared to 5% to 6% for men.” (Novotney, 2023).

Yes! My approach to therapy is very inclusive and takes into account the challenges and joy that LGBTQIA2S+ folx experience living in a hetero-cis-normative world.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps your brain process difficult memories and experiences. It uses bilateral stimulation, like eye movements or tapping, to help reduce the emotional charge of past events. Many people find it highly effective for trauma and anxiety.

Somatic Experiencing is a “body first” approach to healing trauma, shock, and stress in the body. It focuses on the sensations, images, behaviors, affect, and meanings we assign to our lived experiences that are unprocessed and stored in the body. It assists in nervous system regulation and creating an increased, healthy connection with ourselves and our natural resources for coping.

Absolutely not. I offer a range of approaches because different things work for different people. We'll always work together to find what feels right for you. If traditional talk therapy is more your style, that's completely valid. If you're curious about trying something new, I'm happy to guide you.

People come to therapy for a number of reasons such as; struggling to tolerate big emotions, relationship challenges, lack of support in everyday life, and more. However, the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors for therapy to go well. Each therapist and their approach is different so be sure to look around and try not to get discouraged if it takes some trial and error to find the right fit for you.

Pursuant to the federal “No Surprises Act of 2022,” you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

We will include a “Good Faith Estimate” along with intake forms prior to your first appointment, for private pay sessions. You have the right to request a revised “Good Faith Estimate” at any time during your treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy for your records.

For questions or more information about your rights to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
